OUR HISTORY

It was from this desire that Keramika was born, in 1987, in Tambaú, in the countryside of São Paulo.
From the beginning, Duda chose the handmade. Not by chance, but because he believed that some ideas could only exist when there was time, freedom, and human hands involved in every step.
Over the years, he created and produced different solutions: hand-painted tiles, mosaic pool edges, glass tiles, and, later, porcelain. These were years of experimentation, research, and development, building a deep knowledge of the material and the possibilities it offers.
In 2019, this story gained a new generation.
Their children, Lorena, Lara, and Lino, joined the business, bringing new perspectives, skills, and a new vision for the company's future. If Duda had built the creative essence of Keramika, the children began to also build its market presence.
The company was repositioned. The Keramika name gained strength. A new commercial model was developed, the brand went through a rebranding process, and new paths of communication and marketing were built.
In just a few years, Keramika went from being a small company of 13 people to becoming an organization with over 100 employees.
But the growth did not change what was at the brand's origin. On the contrary.
While industrial production seeks standardization and scale, artisanal craftsmanship allows for a different kind of relationship with the material. It allows adapting, combining, developing, and customizing.
This is how Keramika works today.
There are different shapes, colors, finishes, layouts, and composition possibilities that can be combined to create unique solutions. Often, what is born from a specific need of an architect or a project becomes a new possibility for the brand itself.
This ability to customize is the direct result of a choice made three decades ago: to continue producing in a way that preserves the freedom to create.
Today, Keramika has crossed the borders of its origin.
The brand is recognized by architects, designers, and industry professionals in Brazil and also internationally, precisely for what has always been at its core: the ability to do things differently.
The history of Keramika is, therefore, the history of two forces coming together.
On one side, Duda's creativity, which brought to the company the artist's eye, the restlessness, and the courage to imagine what does not yet exist.
On the other, a new generation that brought management, strategy, branding, and market insight, transforming this creativity into a stronger, more well-known company prepared to grow without losing its identity.
And perhaps that is the greatest definition of Keramika:
a company that grew without giving up the freedom to create.
Because, for us, craftsmanship is not just a way of producing.
THIS IS THE KERAMIKA TRANSLATION
